I can’t take credit for most of this as it’s mainly my Mum’s work. I’ve discovered I’m not great at knitting blankets as they’re so big and take ages… I get distracted. However, if I break them down into parts they’re achievable!
My contribution to this little lot…
I knitted the squares (with border) separately then sewed them together. Where there’s a will… I could point out the mistakes I’ve made on this but I won’t because it’s still a thing of beauty and there will be a family who treasures it 🙏
This parcel will be winging it’s way to a hospital in Northampton later today. Whilst hospitals are mostly not accepting items due to Covid and there are no general requests open for fulfilment, a few are making specific requests via the group. This is part of a request for 40 blankets, 40 newborn cardigans and 40 cardigans size 3 months.
