Lottie Life – April 2020

My Partner in Crime (PIC) has set me off with the best possible start by preparing the ground.

The weather’s been pretty mild so I’m going for it – sowing some seeds straight into the ground: Broccoli, Parsnips, Carrots, Beetroot, Courgettes, Aubergine, Spring onions, Kalettes, Chard, Peas, Mange Tout

It’s exciting and a little terrifying, the responsibility of nurturing these tiny little seeds into seedlings, mature plants and eventually food bearing beings repaying me for all my hard work 🙂 So I send some positive energy to them and will them to grow and be strong. It might sound bonkers but studies have shown it actually has an impact so I’m utilising everything in my arsenal .

I’m not going to lie, the next couple of weeks are pretty dull, give the seed babies water and positive energy. There’s nothing to see so I just keep hoping.

Until… eventually… there are signs of life. The little ones are popping greenery – woohoo! I mean, it’s 50/50 at this stage as to whether it’s the seeds growing or ‘weeds’ but I’m ever hopeful so I keep adding water.
